NewGate faculty guide students’ activities in a prepared Montessori environment that challenges each child to reach their full potential.
NewGate Montessori Guides maintain a mature, professional relationship with families, students, and staff; prepare the environment by following Montessori best practices. Guides participate in all activities that contribute to the student’s intellectual, social-emotional development, health, and well-being.
The ideal candidate must have a strong commitment to Montessori philosophy, partnership relationships, and collaboration. Applicants must be willing to embrace and exemplify NewGate School’s core values, a growth mindset, and reflective practice.
Sarasota offers residents the best of Florida beaches, outdoor recreational activities, and the arts. It is the home of the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, Ringling College of Art and Design, New College, and the Ringling Museum. Applicants must have certification from a MACTE accredited teacher education program.
NewGate is accredited by the Cognia and the International Montessori Council, and authorized as an IB World School.
